How many times would you: give someone the key to your home? give someone the alarm code to your home? leave town with COMPLETE peace of mind about your pet…and your home? Since we met Maggie and Susan, the first call we make during vacation planning is to Love’em & Leave’em ---before making our final travel plans—just to make sure that our “Miss Holly” is happy and well taken care of. We have an extremely “finicky” cat that used to become VIOLENTLY ill when we would leave her.  Today, our departures are hardly noticed by our cat, and in fact, we’re not sure she knows that we  have been gone - or returned. We only have one cat at this time but he is a very special Cat.  His name Einstein, because he is so smart, and he was my Mother's cat.  He came to live with us after her death.  Having him with us is like having a part of her here as well.  I could not trust just anyone to take care of this warm and furry friend.  That is why we feel very blessed to have Maggie and Susan from Love'em And Leave'em taking care of him when we are out of town. I know he always receives the best of care and lots of love and affection which he so craves.  They spend time with him and make sure all his needs are met and then some.  It gives us peace of mind to know he is in good hands while we are away.  Barbara S.

When I was traveling back and forth between Austin and Seattle back in 1997, I had 2 dogs: Lucky, a 75-lb. German Shepherd mix, and Wolfgang, a 90 lb. Siberian Husky-Black Labrador mix. They lived in my fenced back yard and were full of fire and spit and, when they weren't sleeping, loved digging and eating trees. I dreaded the idea of a kennel where they would be locked down most of the time. Plus if I needed the kennel for the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays, I had to setup reservations by August of that year. Somehow I found out about pet sitting, where the dogs stayed at home and someone visited. But this person would be in my house. Teenage kids were not an option. Neither were most of the pet sitters in the phone book. They either were just starting their business or would out-source the work to some contractor. Some weren't even bonded. Then I found Maggie Hall, the owner of Love 'Em & Leave 'Em. She visited the house to meet the guys and judge their temperaments. She took notes on my dogs including vet information (she does want their shots up-to-date). So I left for 10 days. Maggie visited each day, picked up the mail, fed and watered the dogs, and played with and brushed them. She also continued my work with them on sitting and staying and not leaping on visitors. She left me daily voice mails and a page of daily notes on the kitchen counter. The dogs were happy and apathetic about my return. As my guys entered their 70s in dog years, Lucky developed arthritis in her hips. In addition to her normal pet-sitting duties (feeding, playing, brushing, giving treats and providing daily updates), Maggie administered medications and offered suggestions for Lucky's comfort. I'm the proud Papa of three Chihuahuas. Living alone except for these three "kids" of mine, I was reluctant to ever travel. I couldn't bear to leave them in a kennel, nor do I think these kids that I've spoiled rotten could handle the experience. I was completely tied down. When some changes occurred in my life that necessitated frequent travel, I was at a loss of what to do. After doing some research into Pet Sitters I decided that option would be something that might work. After thoroughly checking out references, I decided to give Maggie and Love 'em and Leave 'em a try, and I've never had a single regret! Maggie was great and had a way about her that won over the trust of my hesitant and very suspicious kids. I was finally able to travel and not worry. The "girls" love her and her assistants. I’m convinced the “girls” look forward to me travelling now so they can see them! I've been away for up to 3 weeks at a time, and regularly travel 8-10 days a month and I've never had a single problem. We are the happy owners of Chapman, a Boxer, Skylar, a Cocker Spaniel, and two cats, Chelsea and Ellis. Three years ago, our son in Atlanta got married and we never liked boarding our "kiddos." A friend recommended Maggie to us. She is great and so is Susan. Maggie is so good with animals. The first time she visited us to get acquainted with our "family" she brought Chapman and Skylar doggie treats and they loved them and bonded with Maggie. Then she started a file with information and schedules for each pet ensuring she knew how to make them feel very secure and comfortable while we were gone. We never worry about our pets because Maggie and Susan are so loving, caring and responsible. They keep a very amusing and detailed diary of each visit which we look forward to reading when we return from a trip...not sure who has a better time...our pets with Maggie and Susan or us on our trip!! Steve & Candy J I can't remember how long Maggie has been my pet sitter but she has been for quite a few years now. I never considered looking for another person. The reason for that is Maggie takes care of my critters and my plants like they were her own, I always feel comfortable leaving her in charge. Last winter while I was on vacation Maggie smelled gas and took all the necessary precautions to be sure the gas was shut-off and the house was aired out and called to let me know what was going on. I will always appreciate the effort that took on her part. I highly recommend Maggie for your pet sitting needs. Maggie and Susan were so wonderful and accommodating to our unique and special  needs --- at one point the humans had five dogs and two cats - almost like the  Brady Bunch, but with pets. When we found out we had to relocate, we tried get Maggie and Susan to come with us. They are the Golden Bone Standard. We  thought it would be selfish to take Austin's and arguably one of the best pet services ever for our own needs - but to be honest we still  tried... Fellow pets and human/owners in the Austin area-- you are  fortunate to have Maggie and Susan. We've had a number of pet services prior to  and since having Maggie and Susan as we've lived in a number of areas with our  humans. Maggie and Susan are the bar against which all other pet services are  measured - and we've not yet found anyone who comes close. They are extremely professional, organized while at the same time have the best sense  of humor and flexibility. Our humans really seemed to love this. We and our humans continue to talk about Maggie and Susan to this day.
